Walter model 1500

The Charles Walter piano is a handmade instrument created at the Walter factory in Elkhart, Indiana. Mr. Walter and his sons and daughter have one of the few family owned piano companies in the world. The Walter is also one of only three or four American Pianos being made today. The pianos are made of solid American hardwood and they only make one model of verticals so that they are perfected with many unique design features. The speaking length of the longest bass string is comparable to a 5'8" grand piano. Another feature is the longer key lever that allows the piano to play with the finesse of a grand. The have a full sized action and a grand shaped soundboard among many other great features that allow the piano to play and sound like a grand but are presented in beautiful cases the height of a console.
